CHURCH RESTORATION GROUP BEGINS RESTORATION OF NAVAL ACADEMY CHAPEL

PITTSBURGH, PA (March 1, 2009): Church Restoration Group, LLC (CRG), a local Pittsburgh-based disaster restoration, construction and consulting company, is proud to announce it had recently partnered with Tuckman-Barbee Construction Company, Inc. for the restoration of the Chapel at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
CRG is responsible for several of the projects key elements including:
• Restoration and refinishing of the pews
• Scaffolding
• Erection of temporary wall to separate the rotunda of the chapel so it can continue to serve the Navy
• Ornate plaster repair work
• Complete decorative interior painting
• Protection of key fixtures and organs
“A great deal of planning and coordination is necessary throughout the entire restoration,” stated Tony Attanucci, senior estimator and project manager for CRG. “The project is divided into two phases, allowing the Chapel to still serve as a working Chapel during the restoration.”
Phase one of the project, which includes the complete restoration of the Chapel’s nave, is scheduled for completion June 1, 2009. The team will then commence on phase two, which entails the same level of restoration in the rotunda. Phase two is scheduled to be completed in October of 2009.
